Ivanna Anatoliyivna Sakhno is a Ukrainian and American actress. Born on 14th November 1997, Sakhno is known for her role in several movies. She appeared in films such as ‘Pacific Rim’, a science fiction film, a 2018 film titled ‘Uprising’ and the hitwoman ‘Nadejda’. Sakhno also acted in the movie titled ‘The Spy Who Dumped Me.’ Before appearing in these movies, Sakhno had gained popularity in Ukraine. She appeared in a Ukranian’s first sitcom in 2015. The sitcom was Lesia and Roma. In addition, Sakhno also appeared in Ivan the Powerful.
Sakhno’s dream of acting began after she watched the movie Amélie in 2004. She left Ukraine for Canada at the age of 13. While she was studying English in Canada, Sakhno was discovered by Jane Jenkins and Janet Hershenson. Sakhno was discovered as she took part in a casting workshop. She later caught Katelyn Feuling’s attention in 2018.
In 2013, Sakhno moved to the United States. She settled in Hollywood to pursue an acting career while studying at Beverly Hills High School. She later joined the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute where she worked with Ivana Chubbuck. Sakhno’s first major role in Hollywood was in 2016. She acted in Thomas Dunn’s thriller film titled ‘The Body Tree’.

Her very first role was in Ukraine but she has since starred in several other blockbuster movies. Some of the movies she has appeared in include Pacific Rim and The Spy Who Dumped Me.
2. Sakhno comes from a family of filmmakers
Sakhno’s interest in movies is probably due to her family background. She comes from a family of filmmakers. Not everyone in her family is interested in movies though. Her brother ventured into developing video games which is still a popular venture. It is also quite lucrative.

Having been born in Ukraine, Sakhno needed to learn English for her to make it in the industry. At the age of 13 years, she moved to Vancouver Canada so she could learn to speak English. Her efforts paid off as she has appeared in several blockbuster films over the years.

Sakhno attended a well-known high school in the United States. Few children from Ukraine have had this opportunity. After spending time in Canada, Sakhno attended a popular high school in Los Angeles. She completed her high school at Beverly Hills High School while she studied acting.
6. She was included in the cast of the Disney show Star Wars

Disney plus included Sakhno in the cast of their “Star Wars: Ahsoka,” show. In the limited series show, Sakhno was cast opposite Natasha Liu Bordizzo and Rosario Dawson. The Disney plus show is said to be a spin-of-the-hit series ‘The Mandalorian.’
7. She is a dedicated actress and will go the extra mile
Sakhno is a dedicated actress who goes the extra mile to make a movie happen. While working on the movie ‘Let it Snow’ Sakhno gave her all to the movie.
It was filmed at about 3,000 feet above sea level. Some tend to get sick and that level and Sakhno also became ill. Despite that, she carried on and finished making the movie.

Acting is not always easy even for Sakhno. She is sometimes required to film in cold weather and snow. These sessions can be as long as 12 hours a day. Nonetheless, she gives each session her all and puts in a lot of effort to ensure each movie is a success.
