Lepic is one of the starter characters in The First Descendant. Players who select Lepic will find a DPS character, with solid crowd control effects, AOE burst and a very powerful ultimate ability. Here is a closer look at a Lepic build in The First Descendant, featuring skills, combos and tips, and a build for prioing Reactors, weapon loadouts, and other mod tips.

Lepic Skills Breakdown

Lepic is a DPS character, that specializes in ranged burst DPS and crowd control, and we rank him high for that in our The First Descendant Character Tier List. He has some single-target DPS tools too. Here is what you can expect.

• Grenade Throw: Throw a grenade forward, dealing Burst damage for (Skill Power x 500.3%) on a six-second.
• Overclock: Become overclocked for 17 seconds and increase skill power by 20%. During this time your other skills will inflict burn on enemies, for 3 seconds, ticking for around 115% Skill power, further increased by character and skill level.
• Traction Grenade: Throw a grenade that Towes enemies towards its centre. This drags and hold enemies to appoint for several seconds in a 9-meter radius.
• Overkill: Equip a weapon in your arm, when fired unleashes a large burst damage attack in an area, dealing Skill power multiplied by 2500% at a minimum. It then deals continuous damage for around 40% minimum for a second duration every 0.5 seconds in a 5-meter range. The skill drains all MP when pressed. The amount of total MP affects how often you can shoot,t typically to a max of 2 times.
• Passive: Close Call: Upon receiving Fatal damage, you are granted damage immunity and immobilization immunity. You recover around 50% of your Max HP when the Close Call effect ends. The effect lasts for around 5 seconds.

Skill Tips & Combos

Due to how Lepic’s kit is designed we have a few skill tips to share:

• Traction / Frag Grenade combo.
• Counter enemy tactics or group enemies for easier weakspot hits.
• Use your ultimate instead of Overclock for single-target DPS.
• OIverdreive skill is okay when used for weapon burn attack synergy and for Void Fragments farming.
• Traction grenade pairs well with other CC-focused Descendants like Viessa / Ajax.

In general, Lepic’s skills are fairly easy to combo for AOE. Throw your Traction Grenade, followed by a grande throw, and you’re mobbing potential is very good.

You can also use your Traction grenade you counter a lot of the harder enemies to kill. Think of the heavy armored elites or the enemies that use riot shield. The Traction Grenade swoops them up, makes landing weak spot hits easier, or straight up negates their annoying shield or mechanics.

If you intend on using Overclock, this will burn all your mana bar down as you’ll need to pop that skill, then press frag grenade. If you need single target damage, you’re best using your m full mana bar on your ultimate skill, as you’ll get significantly more out of using Overkill skill which has a several thousand skill multiplier for incredibly high burst damage, over the damage your Burn will do.

The only time you’ll ever really use Overdrive is for a heavy weapon burn mod build for increased sustain DPS, or for farming Void Fragments.

Lepic build loadout and recommended gear

In terms of build, you’re largely looking to use your favourite weapons. For the playstyle we recommedn a shot to medium-ish range playstyle for a few reasons. The main reason is for the effective use of your grenades. The grenades have a somewhat smaller range, and you get more out of them with proper aiming and planning. So, if you can mob groups and spawn locations, you’ll be in a better position. For these reasons, we recommend using

• Assault Rifle
• Scout Rifle or Shotgun
• Shotgun or Sniper

The type of AR depends on you. Burst fire ARs are nice for using against weakspot / headshot damage bonuses, especially while Traction Grenade is live. Moreso, shotguns and other more spray and pray AR or SMGs help your burst to close range and grenade-towed enemies.

As for other options, use a Scout or Sniper rifle playstyle for distant enemies. These enemies won’t be in rage for effective grenade use. So, you have those to fall back on. It’s also handy for your burn attack modifiers for single-target consistency. There’s also Reactor synergy for more skill damage when using a scout rifle (as an example). So, if you get a Reactorwith those weapon requirements you’re fine.

On the other hand, we recommend trying to get bruning Reactors. These offer the most synergy with your burn skills, alongside granting buffs to tech skills, which are your grenade throw and ultimate skill. These are your two main damage skills, so these are always worth buffing via the double whammy or burn reactor types.

As for mods, improve your defensiveness where possible. Lepic doesn’t have any innate defensiveness outside of his base stats. So, always focus on improving those stats when you can. Meanwhile, Skill power is good. Fire status effect modifiers on your guns are also good as they synergise with your burning mods. Outside of that, continue to improve weapon ATK mods for more consistent DPS, and you’ve got a decent build. Better MP and more MP are really food too, so you don’t have heavy dead windows where you can’t use your skills.
