Is Celestial Shell worth using? ›

Celestial shell is absolutely not an unusual choice, it's fantastic on literally every single post-golem build since it's effectively an avenger emblem that also gives +4 defence and bonus life regeneration. If you want to swap accessories, don't remove this one.

Of the accessories, the Ankh Shield and the Celestial Stone give the fourth most base defense, being bested by the Flesh Knuckles (8 base defense), the Celestial Shell (7 defense when worn at night), the Paladin's Shield (6 base defense), and the Hero Shield (10 base defense).

Hiding the accessory hides the Werewolf and Merfolk transformations while still applying the boosts. Wearing the Celestial Shell in a vanity slot will instantly change the character's appearance into a Werewolf – even during daytime, though the character will still change into a Merfolk underwater.

The Moon Shell is a Hardmode accessory that can be crafted at the Tinkerer's Workshop. It combines the effects of the Moon Charm and the Neptune's Shell: Equipping it will turn the player into a Merfolk when entering water (at any time), or into a Werewolf at night.

Armor. Valhalla Knight's Greaves is the best armor combination available to melee users.

For Melee users:

Solar Eruption is the strongest melee weapon available, dealing massive piercing damage to all parts of the boss. tModLoader 1.3-Legacy version, where the Phantasmal Deathray does not pierce blocks, this allows you to hit the Moon Lord from under the safety of a ceiling.

Stat boosts: +10% melee speed. +10% damage (all types)

The effects of the Celestial Shell stack with the effects of the Moon Stone and Sun Stone.

The Solar Pillar will continuously spew fireballs that deal high contact damage. It is widely considered to be the most difficult of the four, due to the Crawltipede forcing the player to stay grounded, leaving them vulnerable to the variety of other ground enemies that the pillar spawns.

What does the robotic skull do in Terraria? ›

The Robotic Skull is a Hardmode pet-summoning item that spawns Mini Prime, a miniature version of Skeletron Prime that follows the player around. The Robotic Skull has a 1/4 (25%) chance of being dropped by Skeletron Prime in Master Mode.

The Obsidian Skull is an immunity accessory that grants immunity to the Burning debuff normally inflicted by contact with Meteorite, Hellstone, and Hellstone Bricks. It does not grant immunity to lava or other fire-based attacks. It additionally provides 1 defense.

The Turtle Shell is a Hardmode crafting material that has a 1/17 (5.88%) chance of being dropped by the Giant Tortoises in the Hardmode Jungle and Underground Jungle. Turtle Shells are used solely to craft Turtle armor, which can in turn be used to craft Beetle armor.

A Blood Moon can be initiated manually at nighttime by using a Bloody Tear and does not require said criteria to be met.

The Moon Lord can be summoned with a Celestial Sigil before defeating the Lunatic Cultist in any world where the Golem has been defeated. If the player leaves the world after the message "Impending doom approaches...", Moon Lord will not spawn.

Despite requiring the Avenger Emblem to craft, which increases all damage, the Celestial Emblem only boosts magic damage. However, the Celestial Emblem is the only accessory derived from the Avenger Emblem to provide a higher damage bonus of 15%, matching the original emblems dropped by the Wall of Flesh.

Ataxia Armour is the best armour you'll have for the Moon Lord for the most part, particularly due to the explosive effect of the set bonus, though it depends on how close you get to a corporeal part of the ML.

If you have the SDMG, then it should be your go-to weapon for when you want pure single-target DPS. If you don't, then either the Vortex Beater or Phantasm can be effective for Moon Lord. I'd advise using Chlorophyte bullets with Vortex Beater to offset its innacuracy.

Stardust Armor is the BEST Summoner armor in the entire game, available once you've defeated Moon Lord. It takes 36 Luminite Bars to craft (that's 144 Luminite in total) and 45 Stardust Fragments. As Moon Lord is basically the end of content, the Stardust Armor is suited to late-game PVP content.
